Anjali Keeping 2021 - Middle Temple
I am so pleased to accept this kind award.
I am a law student, working hard to become a barrister. Being part of Middle Temple has helped enormously towards this goal. I am currently the President of the Middle Temple Students’ Association, and focus on improving student experience by hosting events such as pupillage information evenings and socials. Most recently, I hosted a Bharathanatyam dance show at Middle Temple Hall, the first of its kind. Diversity and Inclusion is very important to me, and I was so proud to be able to facilitate this show. I have been fortunate enough to utilise the opportunities Middle Temple provides its students. For example I completed a period of marshalling with HHJ Edmunds QC, and an advocacy training weekend at Cumberland Lodge, where my group was led by Bernard Richmond QC.
I have also undertaken a wide variety of legal experience in order to obtain my goal of becoming a barrister. For example, I have attended mini-pupillages in Crime, Immigration and Extradition law. Further, I have worked as a paralegal in Crime and Immigration departments.
I have also obtained an undergraduate degree in English from King’s College London, and Graduate Diploma in London from the University of Law. I am excited to begin the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy in September 2022.
