Andrew Ang -2023 Surgical Skills Awardee

Originally from Singapore, Andrew came to the UK in 2014 to study medicine at the University of Sheffield. Upon obtaining his medical degree in 2019, he started working as a foundation doctor in South Yorkshire. He took up an honorary clinical research fellow position at the Royal London Hospital in 2021 and entered core surgical training in the Oxford region in 2022. He achieved membership to The Royal College of Surgeons in 2023 and won The Louis Solomon Knight Award for Surgical Skills in 2024. Andrew is due to start working as a General Surgery Registrar later in 2024.
