Alex Wheeldon - 2nd Year Historic Carving: Architectural Stone 2022-23 City & Guilds of London
At the end of first year we had successfully completed the group project of carving a Romanesque font. Towards the end of that term we had also been drawing at the V&A, learning to make drawings that might be used to carve or model from back at the studio. With this in mind, I spent some time over summer making a small wax figure based on these drawings. This allowed me to keep my hand in over the break, and begin to think about what I might do for my third year project as well.
